Respect for farming methods in an ideal environment
The Domaine des Ruaults is located in Puy-Notre-Dame in the village of Chavannes in the appellation of Saumur wines. Our estate, which has 15 hectares of vines owned, is made up of Chenin, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. Our vines are perfectly maintained and some plots are over 50 years old. Located on several hillsides of different terroir (Turonian and Jurassic), including some plots at more than 60 meters above sea level, our vines produce wines including expression retranscribes the typicity of these terroirs. The selection of grape varieties and the management of the vinification are the subject of constant and meticulous care. All the viticultural work that we carry out is carried out with respect for the vine and in a quest for quality. The viticultural practices carried out in our vines are decisive in the quality of the wines we produce. In order to limit inputs, we have grassed all of our plots.
